We have over 25 years experience caring for thousands of customer’s goods. The safety and security of your goods whilst in store is our upmost priority.

Access Control System

Our access control system ensures that only people with allocated PIN numbers can access the facility. You simply use the key pad when entering the main entrance. Our software controls all access points and alarms and reports every entry to the Box Room.

CCTV

Our premises are covered by CCTV which runs 24 hours a day and feeds directly to our offices.

We operate close circuit television throughout the facility, as a means of crime prevention and in the unlikely event of a crime, to record it as evidence for the police and courts.

CCTV footage is kept for a limited time period only. Please see FAQs for more information.

Secure Access

You will be issued your own P.I.N to gain access to the premises.

Vehicle Trackers

All Box Room and Bishops Waltham Removals vehicles are monitored by online tracking, meaning at any given minute we know where your goods are.

 

Entry Logs

Our software alerts our office staff of every entry to the Box Room.

Any unauthorised entry to the Box Room will trigger an alarm and alert staff.

Protected Store

The premises are protected 24/7 by Redcare Security Monitoring for fire and intruder detection. In the event of any out of hours incident, our staff will be alerted and the emergency services called out.

Outside CCTV

All vehicle activity on the Box Room premises is recorded via CCTV.

Secure facilities

Your room will be locked with your own padlock. Only you will have access to your belongings unless otherwise requested.

Security and Insurance FAQ's

What is the procedure for entering and exiting the Box Room? +

On your first visit you will need to sign in at reception. Thereafter you can come and go as you please; simply key in your five-digit code at the access alarm point once when going in and once when leaving the building. Rest assured, if you forget to activate your alarm on the way out, it will automatically reset after two hours.

Do I need insurance? +

We do require all our customers to have the minimum cover of £2+vat per week, this covers your goods up to the replacement value of £2,000. If you require additional cover we would be pleased to quote or you can opt for your own specialist provider.

What happens if I forget my padlock key? +

If you are concerned about this, we are happy to keep your key on file and dispense it at your request each time you visit.

Will anyone else have access to my room? +

No. You but you will have the option when you sign a storage contract to nominate anyone who you would like to have entry.

You have the right to request to view CCTV footage. You have the right to have your image blurred *subject to not being a party to any criminal activity. There is a £10 fee for the administration of this, upon each and every single request.

All access will be documented and a copy of ID will be required to record accurately who made the request.

Not only do you store my goods, you hold some of my personal data, how do you keep it safe? +

We take our customers’ private information very seriously and endeavour to store it as securely as we do your goods.

If you are considering storing with us, please email the office for a copy of our privacy policy which we can send to you.

To summarise, we will never give out your personal information to any third party without your express permission. Our sister company is Bishops Waltham Removals and we have the same owner, staff and office, therefore your data will be in the operating system and secure files of both companies. But you will not receive marketing information from the other side of the business unless you have requested it.
